How to run a Script when the FileMaker database opens?

I have created a script that I want to run when the database opens. Is that possible? How?

Each file has it's own options. If you want a script to run when a file opens, you have to set it as the Open Script in the File Options. The File Options are located in the File menu. (File > File Options). I hope that helps!

If you're working in FileMaker version 12, the file start-up script option has been moved slightly and renamed. It's still under the "File" menu > "File Options...", but it's under the right-most tab "Script Triggers," and it's called the "OnFirstWindowOpen" trigger.
